Pre buying worries tiny bubbles in hot oil Toyota 4runner?

Default Pre buying worries tiny bubbles in hot oil Toyota 4runner?
I test drove a 4runner today and of cours the buyer wasn't telling me everything but here's what I observed. First the radiator only had water in it. Second and most troubling after running the engine and driving a couple miles I checked the oil and it had tiny little bubbles it also read tremendously high, I wiped it off and checke again and it was crazy crazy high still with tiny bubbles, no froth on the stick of the cap but the oil did smell really old. Also there like a faint sloshing/scratching noise not a sharp scratch noise bit it's coming from the front bottom of the engine am I just paranoid? It has 160 k miles. I'm thinking the bad oil and maybe overfill causes churning and hence the little bubbles can anyone tell me their experience before I buy this tomorrow??

well if the oil had been over filled .. say it was setting on a uneven sport when the checked it and added to much oil . that it could cause the bubbles but follow you gut and you think their is a problem .. don't buy or have it checked out by a technician first .

Too much oil causes oil to become aerated, air is not a good lubricant. Chances are there is engine damage, at least quite a bit extra wear. I would get a vehicle that was maintained properly, plenty of them out there.

tun dont walk way overfill is a complete lack of care, and thats as bad as under filled. PATIENCE IS THE KEY HERE, never ever be in a hurry when looking for a used vehicle, this is what gets people in trouble, I walk from anything that I find odd, like this, You are pretty much looking for a jewel in a sea of turds ok? so hang in there, and when you find the right car or truck, you will know? ok? best of luck.

Dude...NO! NO! NO! Do NOT buy that. It sounds like junk. New Toyotas don't run right let alone one with 160,000 miles. These cars just don't last. And on top of that, it sounds like he did not take care of this vehicle properly..

All Oil smells old. It's oil.































Sounds weird but I think you are overthinking it a bit.
