This is what you're getting with the JDM motor: bigger injectors, ceramic CT20 turbo, no EGR, more aggressive cams, different oil cooler, and more aggressive ECU fuel map/ignition. The USDM motors are utilize MAF(and TVIS) vs the JDM motors use MAP. The internals are the same.
It should drop in just fine, but there should be some harness work involved. So you'd be looking at some writeups on a 3S-GTE 2nd generation being converted to 3S-GTE 3rd generation.
