The difference is there might NOT BE a 2011 FJ Cruiser! At least not in the USA. If you want one - better go get the 2010. The net is rife with rumors that the FJ is being canceled.
The Toyota US official website still has ONLY 2010 models for FJ shown. Tacoma, 4Runner and Tundra all show 2011 models. It is on the similar platform as 4Runner and Tacoma also known as the Hilux.
In an effort to get better fuel economy averages (to please the US federal government!) the somewhat un-aerodynamic FJ may get the ax.
There is also a rumor that the FJ will get the 2.7 liter 4 cylinder - now standard in the Tacoma. probably an effort to get fuel economy - but who will buy 159 HP 4 cyl in that size vehicle??
It might just be dead for 2011 (in US). If you are somewhere else in the world - you may still get it?
