Who is in charge of hiring Technicians at a car dealership?

Default Who is in charge of hiring Technicians at a car dealership?
I am applying by email and would like to know who I should send my cover letter and resume to. Should I send it to the Service Manager or Service Director? Thanks guys!















The website says "Please email us your resume, if you would like to become our family member" it then gives the email of the service department. But I looked around the website till I found the Service Directors and Managers direct email. Is it a bad Idea to email them instead of the provided service department email?

You should send it to whoever they tell you to send it to. If need be ask a manager., they'll know.

If you send it to the service manager and he isn't in charge of hiring I'm sure he will see that the right person gets it. You would stand a better chance if you went there personally if at all possible.

Why are you applying by email, it is better to go in person so they can see you. Regardless you should call them and find out the name of the person responsible for hiring. Again if that is not possible I would go with the Director. But the more personable the better your chances. Good Luck

In most cases that would be the service manager.

I will never hire anyone who email, faxes, or snail mails a resume to me. If you do not have the time to apply for a job in person then that tells me you are lazy.
