How can I find out the original color of a car? The car is a Toyota Supra (mkiv). Is it in the VIN number or what?

in the drivers side door there should be a sticker that says the color or look under the seal in the door if u see another color thats probably it

Colors are not indicated in the VIN; you can look either in the glovebox or under the matting in the trunk for a code. Then look it up online....

Call Toyota with VIN, they will tell you.

Look on the door jam on the driver's side. You will should see a label. Among everything on the label, you should see a C/TR. the "C" is your color code....the "TR" is your trim code.

Color codes can also be obtained from engine tags should display the information about the production of the car. The categories are listed going down read left to right in model, engine, CCs, frame number, color / trim, trans / axle, paint.































Color codes are as listed: Super White II (040), Silver Metallic (199), Dark Brown Gray Mica Metallic (1A1), Quick Silver Metallic Graphite (1B9), Black (202), Super Red IV (3L2), Super Bright Yellow (576), Grayish Green Mica Metallic (6N0), Dark Green Mica Metallic (6P3), Deep Teal Metallic (752), Blue Mica Metallic (8L5).
