Default My 1994 toyota camry has been making clicking noises on tight turns, and something just
snapped. what broke? My Camry has been clicking loudly on turns, and something just snapped, no power to wheels, but something rattles and thrashes around violently, anyone want to tell me what I'm up against???

Either your bearings got wrecked, or a chunk of your drive shaft snapped. If it's the drive shaft, you're done for. Hey, it's a 16 year old car, you deserve something better.

Your constant velocity (CV) joint has failed. This is common and at least one front axle needs to be replaced. It will probably cost about 300 bucks to replace.

thats actually not that big of a deal.most likely one of your front axles broke . it should be a fairly cheap to have fixed. axels arent to expensive and there not that hard to replace. just a rough idea id say tops 400 if your get ripped off at a mechanic or 60 for the part if you can get a friend to do it . takes about 30 min to an hour to do

That's sound pretty normal for a Toyota.































Fix: Trade it for American made.

CV joint for sure. The clicking is the sound of a torn boot with a joint failing because of loss of lubrication inside it, and the snap with loss of all drive power is the joint coming apart. It's an expensive repair - $300 - $700 depending mostly on the parts source. For a 1994 car you will probably want to go with the cheaper sources. All you gain with more expensive axles is longer life expectancy.
