2008 Yaris oil change light question...?

Default 2008 Yaris oil change light question...?
Hi, I have a 2008 Yaris. When I put in the key (but don't turn it), a few warning/trouble lights come on including the oil change light, battery light, etc. When I turn the key to start the car, ALL the warning/trouble lights come on for a second, then all of them go off as soon as the car starts.































Does this mean the oil needs to be changed (because the light was on steady before the car was started), or is this normal?

it is normal for all the lights to come on before you start the engine this is the way to see if all of the lights work when the light is on after starting the engine then you need to service the car

All the lights you mention come on and stay on before you start the engine. The light that indicates it is time for an oil change is your maintenance light.
