Chad F is right. If there is a problem that comes back to the remote starter the work won't be under warranty. Otherwise the warranty is okay. Of course, if everything works but the remote starter Toyota is not going to be interested in taking that on.
A friend has an aftermarket alarm and remote starter in his new F150 and the truck began refusing to start after it sat a while. The Ford dealer was unable to duplicate the problem because they didn't have a place for it to sit for 3 days but I caught it in the act one time and determined the engine was not getting fuel. The dealer had been blaming the aftermarket immobilizer, and still did, but they replaced the fuel pump and a sensor under warranty. Problem solved.
Toyota has been very good at warranty coverage, although in some cases you have to appeal to Toyota USA if a deadline has just passed.
