Default I have an 1987 Toyota Pickup and every time I put it in reverse I blow a fuse. Any ideas...
...on how to fix this? This same fuse also controls my dash lights and the alternator.

Hello Shari,















I had the same problem with my 1984 Datsun pickup. After tracing the wires for a solid three weeks,















I finally found the cause. The live wire leading to one of the back-up lights, was bare and laying across















a cross-member of the frame. I replaced the bare section of wire, wrapped both connectors with electrical tape, replaced the blown fuse, and the problem was solved. Let's hope your fix is just as easy.....but doesn't take as long to find it.

also















check for corrosion/moisture on both reverse light sockets. WD-40 and a scotch brite pad, fine paper, or crocus cloth. cracked lens or bad seal.
