I understand why no sane person would buy a Toyota product but why in the world would you want to rent one when there are so many other safer choices? As for the traction control, why would you want to deactivate it unless you think it might prevent the runaway acceleration possibility, (it will not make the car one bit safer). I know that Honda does have a push button disengage for the system and I suspect the Camry might as well. It will be stated in the owners manual and I suggest you read the section before you decide to run without the system, especially in the winter. Is it too late to change your mind and actually rent a safe car? If not, be very careful.
