Can the 2010 Camry traction control be turned off?

I understand why no sane person would buy a Toyota product but why in the world would you want to rent one when there are so many other safer choices? As for the traction control, why would you want to deactivate it unless you think it might prevent the runaway acceleration possibility, (it will not make the car one bit safer). I know that Honda does have a push button disengage for the system and I suspect the Camry might as well. It will be stated in the owners manual and I suggest you read the section before you decide to run without the system, especially in the winter. Is it too late to change your mind and actually rent a safe car? If not, be very careful.

You have to leave traction control on, as is electronic stability control. Both features will provide you a safe journey for Christmas. Ho ho ho.

maybe. there is a special sequence of hitting the brakes & ebrakes within a short period of time after starting the car. On of the car magazines figured it out when they tested a Lexus IS.

If you are going somewhere that requires snow tires and/or chains..... see if the rental company will throw in chains and have them show you how to put them on
