Fuel pump is either bad or installed wrong.















Try a cheap electric fuel pump.

Try disconnecting fuel line at tank to see if fuel flows from tank, it is possible that the fuel pick-up tube inside the tank is blocked/stopped up. I found a red rag once inside a fuel tank covering the tube such that it would not "pass gas", the rag had collected so much yuck that the pump could not do its job so would only run when pouring gas...btw never ever let an electric fuel pump run dry, the fuel also acts as a cooling agent for pump vanes, if dry it will over heat and be ruined very quickly. be careful, good luck

check for proper plumbing at the pump. then go right to the filter near the tank. replace it. only thing left is the pu tube w/filter in the tank.































in total, all you have is a pu tube w/filter in the tank, filter (external from the tank), fuel lines, pump, more fuel lines, a shut off valve that may not be opening, and a needle valve in the carb clogged or stuck on it's seat. those are all the relative components for fuel to get into the carb. from the tank to the carb. in that order.
