Is it a good idea to drive a toyota camry up a snowy mountain?
I have a 93' model and I am driving up big bear for pleasure. Will my car make it up the mountain safely or will it break down. Can it handle going up these steep snowy mountain? What should I do?
Front wheel drive cars do surprisingly well in the snow. So if you have good all terrain, or winter tires, or chains, then I say you would be fine. Snow wont necessarily hurt it in small quantities, but don't use your bumper as a snowplow.
If you have good tires traction should not be a problem. Take it slow. ABS is great, but I don't know if you have it. Snow will not hurt your engine, let the car warm up before driving.
