It'll fit, it'll just be a pain in the butt to do because you'll need to either a)get a bell housing to mate the engine to your transmission, or b)just use a honda transmission (which would probably require a fabricated drive shaft)...not to mention all the electronics and most of the exhaust.
But...you're probably not going to want to drop displacement from 2.2 to those engines (1.8 and 2.0) as it would probably drop your power significantly. Your better option is to get a jdm gt-four engine and just run it as fwd instead of awd...though I'm not sure if this is possible (I haven't checked).
