Default does Toyota Camry 1995 have a positive or negative ground electrical system?
I am wanting to install a CB radio on my 1995 Toyota Camry, But before I install it I need to know if it has a negative or positive ground electrical system

Almost all modern cars are negative ground, but if you're not sure, you should use a voltmeter to check. However, if you don't know how to use a voltmeter, or don't have one, you really shouldn't be fooling with electrical systems.































Also positive grounded cars are more prone to body corrosion.

It has negative ground. the best way to install power circuit from battery with in line fuse.

You can hook the positive to the positive and then ground the negative on the frame of the car or somewhere metal. But make sure you put an inline fuse in the positive so your car doesn't burn if there is a problem.































What I did instead is got a cigarette plug and cut it and put the negative and positive from that onto the CB wire. Just make sure you hook the right wires up. You will need a volt meter to figure that out and you can find out how to do that on the internet because I cannot remember if the nipple is positive or negative right now.































Also you want to make sure to have the antenna hooked up before you hit transmit. This is important, if you ever transmit with no antenna connected you can blow the finals and then the cb is garbage.































Also if it is a cobra usually you can buy a cigarette adapter plug cheap off ebay.
