What's your opinion of the RAV4?

Default What's your opinion of the RAV4?
I'm most likely getting one. It would be the v6 sport. Anyone own it or have something to say about it?

It's fine. I personally like the Honda crv and the Hyundai Santa fe better, but te rav 4 is still a very good suv.

The V6 is nice but unnecessary unless you have something to tow or will need the extra power for cargo. The I4 plant is much better on fuel, and will be cheaper to own. RAVs are good cars.

We have a 2010 V6 AWD. 12k miles on it at this time. Yes it was pricey, but it beats the Jeep Liberty that we traded in every aspect. If you get the V6, it will have the 5 speed automatic. The 4 cylinder has a 4speed automatic. This brings the fuel mileage of the V6 close to that of the 4 cyl. Obviously you need to go easy an the gas pedal to achieve similar MPG results. See the EPA ratings for both engines. I think they're only a mile or 2 per gallon appart. We get 22 - 24 around town with the RAV4, 14 -16 with the 3.7 Liberty. The RAV4 works very well for us.
