tyres will not keep pressure even though i have had them resealed any thing i could do ?

Default tyres will not keep pressure even though i have had them resealed any thing i could do ?
the rims are alloys and in abit of a state but the tyres are good

If there are any bends in the rims, then they could be leaking air from there.















Also check the caps to make sure that they are sealed because air can sometimes leak from there.















Other than that, it might just be a hole.

one problem with alloys is when they corrode the rims are not airtight where the tyre meets them. I guess you have checked the valves already. I think you can get the wheels reconditioned but it might be better just to get replacement wheels. If it is only a couple pounds down a week I would just make it a habit to pump them up every Sunday morning or something.

Sounds like it's your rims, maybe porous wheels or duff valves. A good tyre shop should be able to inflate yours and dunk 'em in a tank to see where the air is actually leaking.

You have already stated the reason ," The alloys are in a bit of a state". Refurbish or replace.

If it is the rims, see if you can get inner tubes to fit.

Alloy rims are notorious at letting air out once tallying up a few hundred miles, it is likely that you need to replace them as you say yourself that they are damaged!!

you don't need to replace your rims. you just have to separate the tyres from the rims and take some coarse sand paper to sand down the corrosion that's forming on the beads of the rim, the parts where the tyre and wheel join together. you'll also need to clean off the corrosion that's embedded into the tyres as well. then remount and rebalance the tyres throw them back on the auto and go.































this issue will happen again, so you'll have to repeat this process.
