If your 86 was equipped with fold down rear seats, there should be a lever located on the parcel
shelf where the seat fits against it on each end,
They also used a trunk lock to prevent them from being opened from the inside
On some models its a long, metal rod you slide to release the inside release handle. On the one
I saw, it extended all the way across the length of the trunk, towards the top, near the back
of the rear seats. Or look for a release switch in the trunk at the top section on the end of the
back seats. This was to prevent anyone from gaining access to you trunk from the interior.
