It's a lifetime filter element that does not require routine replacement, as it's inside the fuel tank and covers the fuel pump like a sock. If you are having fuel-related issues take it to the service center.

Im not going to say that the other guys wrong but I really thought toyota was smarter than that... you should always have an external (of your tank) fuel filter to protect your injectors. Ive seen stranger things...
