Default toyota tundra 2004. is it possible that the check engine light comes on when oil change is needed?
I have a Toyota Tundra 2004 and on the sticker it says oil change due at 180 000 km. My check engine light came on shortly after getting to 180 000 km. Will the check engine light come on to let me know that i am due for an oil change?

Yes it will. Get your oil changed and it will go off. Oil changes keep your engine healthy! Good luck!

There is a Check engine and a Maintenance light.















They are 2 different lights, The Maintenance light turns on with a mileage timer to let you know a oil change is due.















The Check engine light is telling you a problem exists.
