They stopped making supra because toyota moved on to fuel efficiency and going green. Kinda like what Honda is doing right now.
Lexus however is doing both, fuel efficient as well as Performance (IS-F, LFA, hopefully GS-F)
Toyota Supra maintained a strong sale when it first came to the market but by its last two years, especially its final year sales were very bad.
Thats why toyota killed it.
Now a days the Supra is actually is a collector's car, its worth owning one. I know some guys who have a 1995 Toyota Supra, lowered exhaust upgrade, shines as if it just came out of the factory. Still good.
As for the king of street racing; thats becoming a bit old now. Nissan GT-R has the title.
Street Racing is old, its now track racing kinda like where BMW M3 rules...Thats where Nissan went to. and they're doing good.
The 2012 Supra was rumored and it was in Detroit Auto Show but now there are new rumors that their won't be one. I think its because people won't buy one in this economy + image of toyota went bad.
