at idle, engine running. depress the clutch half way and stop. if the squeaking continues, it's likely there is a throw-out bearing or some sort of clutch issue. take it to a shop and have it inspected.
if the squeaking stops, lube the clutch pedal hanger (check for hanger bushing play/wear) or reposition the pedal return spring.

there is no oiling down there. it's a dry clutch system. there is an inspection panel that can be removed to see how much is left on the discs.
if it is something to do with the clutch and the sueaking stopped, that in no way means the issue went away. all it means is that what ever was squeaking, the condition has changed. doesn't mean it's ok now.
