It's got a lot of torque at the wheels, but it's a little more high centered than say... a Z71. When you hook the plow to the chassis, a load on the front of the truck will push it UP more which will limit its contact with the road. If you want a lot of torque at the tires using a gas engine and a low center of gravity, go with the Z71. A diesel would be best so the Dodge Ram is really the best option.

It will work OK but it is a light truck. If you rarely use it, then it would do fine with some lighter plows. If you plan on using it alot, I would get a 3/4 ton truck. Snow plowing is very hard on trucks.

I have never seen a Tundra with a plow. To small of a truck to do any real plowing, a 3/4 ton truck would work alot better for you. Hope you didn't already get a Tundra expecting to do alot of plowing.

Around here all the state owned plow trucks are Fords, but that might just be here.
