how can i convert my toyota 2wd to 4x4?

Default how can i convert my toyota 2wd to 4x4?
I have a toyota 2wd and love it but i really want 4x4, whats the cheapest way to convert it without it being ghetto? maybe references to shops that can do this or just some advice would be nice.















I realize that trading would be the easiest but that is obvious, thats why Im asking about converting.















Or maybe i could take the entire cab and motor from mine and put it with a different truck?

Buy one that already has 4x4 on it.































Junk yard, youll need the entire suspension, transmission front and rear drive axels etc

Better to trade it for a 4x4 rather than modify it. It takes too many expensive components and you will probably end up spending more than the truck is worth.

Duh.You will need lots of stuff to do this.New axles,new differentials,new suspension,new parts in the gearbox,new clutches,new,new,new.....buy one,this option will be expensive and not that reliable.Taking the whole car and installing it on a new transmission system sounds a bit weird!

The guys are right, it is better to just get a 4x4 and sell yours.

its super easy, here is how: jack up your truck. remove all wheels.. remove front control arms.buy the front axle for a 4x4 and place it in the front. install a small driveshaft that connects to the main driveshaft and attach it to the front axle and your done
