I think you should not bother. The cost is not small. First of all, understand that your transmission needs two different drive shafts, one to drive the front wheels and one to drive the rear wheels. The ratio of torque split is something that also has to be taken into account. The transmission is also computer controlled, and the servo and such have communication back to engine. The speedometer is electronically communicating with the transmission as well. The axle ratio of your existing rear differential is in play as well. If you really wanted af 4 wheel drive vehicle, sell your truck, take a loss on the price, and with the funds, but a 4 wheel drive one in the first place.
If you have plenty of cash lying around, then try to find a wrecked donor car, of the 4 wheel variety and take as many parts off that thing as you can, including the transmission, drive shafts and engine and transmission control computers.
