You need to buy the cord. There are cords for MP3 payers, but the one for the iPod sticks in the iPod deeper than those. That's how Apple keeps getting your dollars and everybody else doesn't. Radio Shack sells a stereo patch cord that will work if you modify it by cutting back 1/4 inch of the rubber part making the metal jack stick out 1/4 inch longer. Take that, Apple! Pffft! Still, you can go give more money to Apple for a stereo patch cord made for your player. Apple also sells all kinds of docks you can use if you want to spend a lot more money.
