Default Hairline crack on top of radiator of Toyota Sienna 2001?
What should I do with a hairline crack on top of my radiator of my Toyota Sienna 2001. The top of the radiator is plastic?

If it's leaking water you'll have to get it replaced. $400-$500. Either way take it in for an inspection. About $50. They'll probably recommend having it replaced. Listen to his response, he may drop a hint you can drive on it for a while but then you run the risk of a blown radiator on the road. And that's serous business.

Replace the radiator. Some epoxy might temporarily fix it but it will fail eventually due to the high pressures of the cooling system. You definitely don't want to risk overheating your engine or getting stranded.

You don't have to replace the entire radiator. Any good radiator shop can replace the top "tank" of the radiator. They might also have a system of "welding" up the crack. Check your yellow pages or online search for a radiator specialty shop in your area. Should be less than $100.

the radiator needs to be replaced or repaired. whatever you do, DON'T use any of that stop-leak additive. that stuff clogs up your cooling system, and causes more problems.
