Why are some halogen headlights blue?

Default Why are some halogen headlights blue?
Specifically on the atomic or chemical level. Not focusing on the technology that allows them to work.















here i have to answer a homework question, i might as well post it. Im lost as to what kinds of bulbs, whether HID, tinted blue tungsten halogen, tinted gold halogen, or all the other various kinds ive been reading about for the past half an hour.

they arent, they just have a colored film

because of the gas used inside the bulb .......when heated it glows a blue color.....















































** btw any bulbs tinted blue by these gases are ILLEGAL in all 50 states now.....only legal "blue" color is HID lighting.......and only in approved HID housings...

there are HID lights, where it acts like a spark plug firing constantly to produce a blue light

or there are fake HID halogen light bulbs in the market, where it's just like a regular halogen light bulb is "dipped" with a colored dye to produce the blue light & is just a plug-and-play bulb with no conversion upgrades needed
