How much a Toyota Corolla in USA?

Default How much a Toyota Corolla in USA?
In Brazil this car costs U$ 36.000,00 , why cars are so expensive in Brazil and so cheap in USA?















Toyota has factories here in Brazil.

In the US Corollas start at $15,000. I'm guessing the reason it's so high in Brazil is import duties or taxes imposed by the Brazilian government. Some years ago the import duty was 70% of the cost of the car with local taxes on top of that. Brazil is not alone. If I'm not mistaken in Singapore they start at about $50,000 US dollars.
