Hyundai is getting better but for a long time their cars were breaking donw and getting a bad rap, Toyota has always been a reliable car and has a good reputation for lasting a long time. After not liking Hyundai for years these past two years they have been making some very good looking cars but I am still concerned about there reliability especially if they are used and do not come with a warranty.

I would definitely rather go with a toyota than a hyundai just because of hyundai's history, not a good trach record, toyota has had some problems but not as bad as the hyundais.

I have had both cars... for the one who said Toyota has always been good is a joke... I had Toyota when they were said to be junk just as bad or worse than Hyundai is suppose to be. Today both are good cars, but I'd go with the Hyundai if buying new. It is as good if not better than the Toyota and will cost a lot less.
