The HiLux model sold under that moniker hasn't been in the US since the mid 1970s. Yes Toyota trucks were sold here but they weren't given a model name, HiLux was everywhere else but the US domestic market.































Not sure if you can find a 1988 model that still runs, California or elsewhere although stranger things have happened. I'd avoid buying one that's more than 15 years old because you may have a hard time finding parts for anything older than that.
