Default 2005 Toyota Corolla on ice/snow?
Alright so just a few minutes ago. I started skidding on ice/snow. I don't know what really happened. I think I was going to fast. Well it just happened and it freaked the hell out of me. And when I started to hit the brakes, they didn't work. What exactly is ABS and does my car have it? And how do I need to stop myself correctly if I start skidding again. And any tips on how to drive on snow/ice will be really helpful thanks.

ABS is anti lock brakes. You pump them to stop and give traction and better, safer stopping. The emergency, if they fail, is the emergency brake4s. disc just press and may skid.. if you have it will say in paperwork or take vin number and look up model and see.

I believed it has abs on the front and drums on the rear so you need to break as easy as you can if your car is standard shift down as much the car allows you to do this tech-nick will help you a great deal.....

some corollas have it,some dont,,if you felt a vibration and heard a noise when sliding then you have it,,,get some good winter tires but even at that ice is ice and no matter what car,4 wheel drive or not it will slid,,you really just need to slow down or start slowing down sooner when your getting to a stop
