I haven't had one single problem with my 2010 Corolla that now has about 15,000 miles on it. The problems that you see in the news about Toyota are the same kinds of problems all American cars have had lately. They aren't being reported, so it looks like a thing unique to Toyota. Take a look when you have a lot of time, here:

Look at as many different models as you care to.
If you want a 2010 Camry, buy a used one with very low mileage from a Ford dealer, that was traded in for a new Ford after the hysteria over Toyota began. That's how the Big 3 are getting out of bankruptcy. If you want a new Camry, get a 2011. In 2010 a lot ofthings were introduced as new featured, such as electric power steering. This hasn't been a problem with Toyotas, but Chevy has had a terrible problem with them suddenly oscillating left and right by themselves until the car was stopped and restarted. Nothing in the news about that dangerous defect.
