Default I had to pay 75 dollars for on oil change for an 02 Toyota Prius. Was I jipped?
It including some installation and shut down fees and what not including tax. was just wondering if i got ripped off.

maybe in beverly hills an oil change will cost $75































....you totally got ripped off

Yes, most oil changes should only cost around 30 bucks.

$75 is somewhat expensive for 3.5 quarts of bulk oil and a filter. I don't understand about the installation and shut down fees. Changing oil in a Prius is like changing oil in any other car. Even if they used the best quality oil, four quarts (since you can't buy half a quart) is only $35 and the Toyota filter is about $12.































Also make very sure they didn't fill the oil over the overfill line on the dipstick. Overfilling can cause problems with the emissions system later on.































I always bring 3.5 quarts of my own oil so that the correct amount and weight of oil is put in. The Prius takes 5W-30 oil. The best oils meet both ACEA A5/B5 and ILSAC GF4. Oils that meet these specs will say so on the label.

It depends on exactly what you got. Did you get synthetic oil, was it just an oil change or a combination package with a tire rotation and other things? If it was just an oil change with standard oil and an oil filter then yes.
