...decrease my gas milag? will i lose gas mileage if i put this in?

It will, if you make your happy foot heavy(which you will ) Otherwise, your gas mileage should improve a bit.

no it will increase your mileage. the better airflow you have the better your combution is

better flow = more air = more fuel needed = less gas milage

should help, unless as above you have a heavier foot when you get it because you will notice a jump in acceleration and top end (it wont be much but it will make you happy) i have a k and n drop in on my current car and it helps me with mpg and acceleration i had a whole aftermarket intake kit from k and n on my old car i even street raced it and it still got good mpg while doin that

Cold air intakes are for high performance applications on the street they run bad in cool or cold weather and the ecm will think it's cold out and enrich the fuel mixture thus burn more gas and run lousy

I put a K&N 57 Series Generation II intake on my 2000 S10 back in the summer. My mileage stayed the same and I noticed an increase in power.































The engine does run louder on acceleration with the extra, more direct air flow.
