What's the difference between a 2.4Litre engine and a 3.0Litre engine?

Default What's the difference between a 2.4Litre engine and a 3.0Litre engine?
I'm refering to Toyota LandCruiser "Prado" from year 1990-1992 (2.4Litre) and 1993-1995 (3.0Litre).































As I'm looking in buying one of them, the 2.4Litre is way cheaper than the 3.0. But in terms of power, how much difference am I looking?































I know its very hard to describe through the internet, but any explaination except "Its more powerful" will be good.































In terms of fuel consumption, which will be better? Both 2.4 and 3.0 had a same body, so the weight of the truck should be the same. Will the 2.4 use more fuel as its less powerful than the 3.0?

go with a Chevy Colorado (2003-2011) Vortec I5 3.7L. 23-25 mpg or a 5.3L Vortec V8 20-23 mpg and a very nice powerful little truck.































assuming you'r referring to gas when you say fuel, and not diesel fuel.































the 2L would be less gas consumption (10-15 mpg) Fuel, however would be a different story. contrary to popular belief, Diesel gets MUCH better mpg compared to gas, but I don't know if Toyota's ever offered a diesel that small.

The difference is 0.6 litres.

The 3,0 Litre engine is more power full, better acceleration, higher top speed, but of course it's use more fuel.















But I suggest you to take the 3,0 engine.
