Why does my 2009 Corolla Sport beep when I turn the car off?

Default Why does my 2009 Corolla Sport beep when I turn the car off?
Yesterday after I filled up my tank, my car started doing a few peculiar things. First, when I turn my car off it beeps as if the car has just been locked. There is also a red light by the side mirror controls (which does not appear in the owners manual) that used to only blink when the car was locked and not in use. The red light is now continually blinking even while driving.The car used to beep twice to confirm that it is locked, and now it no longer does that (it only beeps once). What did I do to my car and how can I get it back to the way it was before I got gas?















Also, to note, the red blinking light is NOT the security light because the security light is in the center console.

sounds like someone has installed an after market security system into the vehicle. you should get this removed asap as there could be potential issues down the road with it.
