on the accelerator.? my toyota 2001 corolla cruises at 10 m/hr on drive mode even though i have not put my foot on the accelerator. it suddenly accelerates when i remove my foot on the brake pedal. without putting my foot on the accelerator, it just cruises at 10m/hr. what is the problem and how do solve this?
If you want reliable on a car buy a chrysler, dodge made right here in American cheap parts too it will not accelerated like this company Toyota that are un responsible people!
The mundane answer is that the idle is set to high.
This used to be something a shady tree mechanic could look at. Nowadays there is some type of idle speed control, you will need to get looked at. I would drive it as little as possible until fixed.
ya sure get a dodge if you want reliablilty,,,thats funny,,,the problem your haveing is a dirty throttle,,,get that cleaned,,this happens on any car ,,,,,,you may need to replace the iac valve as well but start with cleaning
