the only things on the drivers side (rear of motor) that will cause loss of *engine* oil is the pan or rocker/cam gaskets or a rear main seal on the crank and the distributor seal.
where to look,
distributor seal. see if there's a puddle on top of the trany.
rear main seal. pull the inspection panel on the transmission for evidence.
the pan and the rocker/cam cover gasket will be obvious.

since there's no smoke and no loss of power or oil contamination (more or less says the head gasket is prolly good).
and assuming it's not a leak else where and just flowing to that side and then dripping as these do have a diaper.
