How does the P or Park button work in a 2007 Prius?

Default How does the P or Park button work in a 2007 Prius?
I was just looking into a 07 Prius and was wondering if while in D or Drive and you wanted to park it, you just pushed the button or had to put it in N or Neutral first. I also have read that while in D or Drive and stopped just pushing the Start/Stop button will put the car in park?

No need for neutral first, Pressing park engages the parking pawl from any "gear" as long as you are moving less than 6 MPH forward or backward. Above that speed pressing park puts the car in neutral.































Also no need to press park when powering off the car, if you watch the cluster you will see "P" become highlighted briefly just before it goes dark.
