You dont say how many miles or how often it has been serviced ?
First of all check for spark at the plugs, Do this by removing one spark plug wire and insert a nail or other long metal object into the boot , hold it 1/2" form the engine and have someone crank the engine over.
YOU SHOULD get a blue -white spark. If not ? then you have an ignition problem, either the coil, distributor, high tension wires ,or computer depending on your year of Celica.
If you get a spark then the
other thing that could be wrong with it > is lack of fuel delivery a plugged gas line filter, or defective fuel pump .
If it is a carbureted engine disconnect the gas line at the carb and have somone else give it a quick start attempt. Not too long because if you DO ? get a gas flow you will have gas all over the engine.
If you dont get a gas flow check/replace the filter and see if that helps .
There is a certain amount of pressure that a fuel pump must deliver to fill the carb float bowl ;you need a fuel pressure tester to check that.
If your car is computerized ? take it to a shop that specializes in Toyotas or no start modern cars , they have myriads of test equipment that you cant afford to buy so let them find the trouble.
yes it costs but I'm sure its worth it.
thats about all the help I can give right now .
