How do i use over drive in my 2004 Automatic Toyota Rav4 2wd?

Default How do i use over drive in my 2004 Automatic Toyota Rav4 2wd?
I have a 2 wheel drive 2004 Toyota Rav4 with an automatic transmission. How do i activate overdrive so that the engine speed reduces and the fuel economy increases? Is it ok to use overdrive daily? I know that there is a switch next to the drive shaft that says overdrive. Thanks in advance for all help.

Thats it...press the button on the shifter and your done. Yes you can use it daily.

the button on the shifter is a button that turns off/on OD. normally a car has OD on, so you shouldnt have to use that button

There is a light on the dash that says "O/D OFF" when it is off. Turn the O/D on (which will extinguish the light) and leave it on forever.































The transmission knows when to go into overdrive on it's own, and knows when to NOT go into O/D.































YOU don't need to even think about it after that.
