Since the only way to know is to go by the companies past history over the last decade or so then then answer will be a BIG no. Toyota has had to recall 40% of the cars they made since 1998 and that is the WORST record in automotive history.

I am guessing that you are going to buy one. Do not. They are recalling left and right. Unintended acceleration and unintended lane change. They have OK warantee's and the technology is awesome. You can get one but check it out first.

There are not a lot of reviews of the Highlander on my favorite vehicle screening site (first source) and the only hybrid review I saw there was not very informative... the owner seemed to be uncertain about his vehicle even though he owned it. Overall there were enough negative reviews by actual owners that I would not be comfortable with buying one.































I'm sure you have seen the answer by one of the resident trolls who can't seem to comprehend that a high recall rate is a good thing. He must enjoy paying for correction of design or build shortcomings out of his own pocket.
