1992 Toyota Celica Convertible Problems?

I just bought a 1992 Toyota Celica Convertible with 123,000 miles on it. Should I change the timing belt soon? I am not sure if the previous owner changed the timing belt before it was sold. Also the passenger side door does not open from the outside, how would I fix this?

Timing belt is crucial to change at about 80K.

Before you bought the car u shouldve asked if

it was ever changed. If you can call the previous

owner it would be even better to find out if it has

been changed. If you dont want to call then yes

absolutely change the timing belt. 123K is already

long enough if the belts never been changed. And

about the passenger door if it opens from the inside

but not outside you might have to take the door panel

off and see if the the rod that is still connected to the

handle. The handle might be broken so youll need to

buy a new one. Go on Ebay there really cheap there

getting one from Toyota will cost alot of money. Good luck

Hi, I have a 93 celica convertible with 140,000 on it now its a 5 speed its a cool car huh? i change the timing belt on mine at 122,000 miles and its run great. u should changes ur timing belt to make sure that it has been change and it will last alot longer. For the door i think the door handle spring broke on it u could go to a junkyard and change it out. good luck
