2003 Toyota Tundra - Check Oil light is on. Stays on. Help?

Default 2003 Toyota Tundra - Check Oil light is on. Stays on. Help?
The truck has just had its oil changed, but yet the light just stays on. The truck is fine. The light just doesn't turn off. Any ideas?















Sorry for the limited detail. I'm asking this for my dad since it's his truck.















I don't think the engine is worn out. It only has 72,000 miles on it, and like I said, the truck runs fine.

Yes, get a new truck ...or a new driver your choice Just kidding, just kidding In all seriousness have it checked out man. Your oil can be new and at the right level but the light won't go off because of some other problem with the oil supply. The light comes on when the pressure is low. Oil sludge can sometimes cause an issue like this.

A few possibles:































1. wire came off sensor/sending unit.































2. bad sending unit.































3. bad oil pump































4. worn out engine































If the wire is connected, the first thing you need to find out is, IS there good oil pressure and it's not being show on the gage. you can screw a pressure gage into the engine to check.
