Can you do a tranny flush on a '93 Celica?

Default Can you do a tranny flush on a '93 Celica?
My husband had one done, but ever since it has been downshifting on its own, mainly noticeable on the freeway. Is a Celica even supposed to have a transmission flush and if so, is there maybe a computer that needs to be rest to make the car normal again?

there is no such thing as forever lubricant..any machine that has lube has to be changed eventually or u shorten the life of the machine..I would check to see if the transimisson has proper fluid level. If that doesnt do it then its time to go to the dealer and have them tell you whats wrong...Not frank down the street, the Dealer..

Any car can have a transmission flush. Transmission flushes are good for a transmission as long as they are done as regular maintenance. If a transmission flush is done on a car with high miles that has never had any type of maintenance it will usually cause more problems than it will cure. It will loosen up deposits in the transmission and they will clog up places that weren't clogged before. The Toyota dealership I work at will not do a transmission flush on a high mileage car unless it has been done there before and they have records of doing it because there is too much of a risk of the transmission flush doing more harm than good to the transmission. I have seen many people who have burned up their transmission after having a flush done on a high mileage car.































Take your car to the dealer or a transmission specialist and have it checked out.
