Default I am having problems starting my Toyota Tercel, the book says that I have to set the dwell or it
won't? start. I was on-line checking how the dwell is set. Is there another way to set the dwell without a dwell meter? I am going to check the air gap and make sure it is set to specs. Is there anything else that I am forgetting? My car is a 1984 tercel wagon with carb.















It is equipped with a 3AC motor.

wasn't aware that was serviceable.































the manual says, for the ac motor in yours, the air gap is non-adjustable. if it's not within .2-.4 mm replacement of the distributor is required.































our distributors are alike in that way. i've torn mine down, and sure 'nuff, it's not serviceable there. i have the 3E(carb) in my 89.

Its not serviceable you might need to do a major tune up
