Default An 2007 Toyota Tundra SR5?
I thinking about getting a Tundra SR5 and the one I want is the 4X2 with a 4.0L, I want to know is that ok to have a 4.0L in a SR5 will the engine last me a long time? Thanks

Provided that the previous owner treated the truck well, Toyota products (even their trucks) tend to have exceptional longevity.

I have a 2007 Tundra SR5 4.7 L V8. I can tell you from first hand that I love my truck and it hasnt let me down yet. The power these things have are crazy powerful. I opted not to get the 5.7 which was probably a mistake but Ive only towed one trailer in the whole 3 years Ive owned it. Remember these Tundras were made rough and the 2nd gens are a lot heavier and I have no reason why they put the 4.0 L in the Tundra but I will tell this towing will be very limited to you. You probably will be able to pull a boat and a small trailer. But if your not towing anything and your not looking for power the 4.0 is a great way to go. The engines are very reliable in these trucks and they really redesigned these trucks top to bottom and look, act, and feel nothing like the 1st gens. The 1st gens were weak and useless but now Toyota is stepping up there game in the Full Size Pickup Trucks division. It will be a great buy I love mine so far.
