Default Toyota Starting Problems?
When I turn the key in the start position, it usually fails to start the first 3 or 4 tries. It just makes a click sound and i have to keep trying until it actually starts. Do I need a new started or is this an easier fix? And how much does it cost to have a new starter installed?















anything helps.















It's a 1988 Toyota Tercel Hatchback 1.5L

Sounds like starter problem















Changing a starter out is very easy.















Usually there easily accessible and bolted on by 2 or 3 bolts.















Unclip the wires and it should slide right out. Take it to your















nearest parts store or cheapest you must hand over the old















starter or else they charge a core charge. Slide it right in bolt















it up connect the wire back on and your good to go.































If you want to get a quick fix and get more out of the starter before















changing bang it with a pipe or hammer should get you couple good















starts but beware it will completely fail after couple hits

Don't Know What Happen to Toyota Company, recently i have come to knowledge that NASA testing up Toyota Acceleration Case, which means they are not good with their technical part

If you're very lucky, it's the battery cable connections are dirty/loose, and COULD even be a bad battery.































The most common bad part in situations like this is the starter.































If you're not sure, you better find out before buying parts.































You wont save by buying a starter and asking a shop to install it for you. They don't like that, as you are cutting out some of their profit margin. They will make it up by charging you more on labor. Shops will not warranty a part carried in. Others will not install a carried in part.

Sounds like the plunge on the starter just clicking and net allowing the current to flow into the armature. Check the small connector "S" terminal wire on the solenoid to make sure it's tight. If tight you can change just the solenoid but I recommend changing the assembly.
