I'm thinking of buying a toyota celica coupe but want to test drive in a hired car before deciding whether to buy.

No one hires out cars that old. A Celica is usually thrashed and once they start going wrong they can be a bit of a money pit. If you want to go ahead have the car checked out by AA/RAC or a qualified mechanic to save yourself a lot of grief.

Toyota is very good car and can last you a very long time















but you got to see what kind of condition that celica is in















make sure its clean and the engine runs smooth. A lot people















dont care for there cars just drive the crap out of them so















do some intensive inspecting

IF THE DEALER WANT TO GET CARS OFF THEIR LOT QUICKLY - THEY SHOULD ALLOW YOU TO TEST DRIVE ANY VEHICLES BEFORE YOU BUY IT.

Oh Yea, Hertz and Avis have rows of 10 year old Toyotas on their forecourts waiting to be rented ! !

You can get a test drive or not that you can ask from the dealer you intend to buy the car. Usually dealers never say no to a test drive as it is a must thing. But make sure to get it thoroughly checked by a good mechanic as second hand cars could turn out as big problems.
