Default Why are used Priuses so expensive?
I'm not planning on buying one but on this site they start at $33K for a 2010 model. I thought they start at $23K new?

You might find one cheaper there.















If you buy used one from used dealership there















going to cost a lot of money why probably because















its a hybrid and that its.

Because they cost alot to make and engineer. The underbody of that car is full of batteries. The braking system charges the batteries at each wheel. It has a lot of components fuel cars don't have and have.

The original price range for the 2010 was between $21K and $35K depending upon the options selected. Prius historically have held their value very well because of their great reliability and low cost of ownership.

I bought an 08 prius in april 2010 with less than 13K miles for $17000 out the door, no trade in.















If you drive a lot, then eventually the savings in gas will make up for the difference in the higher price. you must drive a lot and keep the car in order to overcome the higher price tag. I needed a 2nd car and i drive no less than 45 miles monday-friday, so a prius made a lot of sense to me and my wallet. if i were to commute less per day then there's no way i could justify buying a prius. i didn't buy a prius to be eco friendly. i bought it because of the mpg's this car puts out. overall, i really like this car. i bet the flaming raven owns a prius.

It is prob because it had lots of options on it. They are about 24 grand new. But with the tsunami in Japan, The price has jumped to about 27 grand because they are manufactured in Japan. Wait til the price drops again.
